Flush valves

What a cistern flush valve does, and how the seal relates to a running toilet.

The flush valve is the closure at the bottom of the tank. It holds water until the flush, then has to seal again. A flapper, a canister, or a siphon arrangement can do that job.

Specifications and certifications are confirmed on request.

A seal is not the whole valve

The visible rubber is often the part that stops seating. The seat, the lift, and the chain or button matter too. A repair kit may contain only the seal, or more of the assembly. Contents vary by kit — check your cistern before buying.

What to check before replacing one is on the guides page.
